用法①：変化

≪意味・使い方≫
Xに伴ってY。
- Xになると、だんだんYになる ＜As something becomes X, another gradually becomes Y＞
- XにもYにも、変化を表す言葉が来る
- 名詞に来るのは「する」がつけられるものだけ
- 「Xに伴い、Y」という言い方もある
- 「Xに伴うY」で、Yに名詞を使うことができる
例文
タイムカードの廃止に伴って、退勤の方法が変わるらしい。 (With the abolition of the time card, it seems that the method of clocking out will change.)
時代の変化に伴って、人々の考え方も変わってきた。 (Along with the changes in the times, people’s perspectives have also evolved.)
科学の進歩に伴って、パソコン周りの物が少なくなった。 (Due to the progress of science, there are fewer items around the computer.)
経済が拡大するに伴って、雇用機会が増加している。 (With the expansion of the economy, employment opportunities have increased.)
法改正に伴って、新たなルールと規定が適用された。 (Following legal amendments, new rules and regulations have been applied.)
気温の上昇に伴い、アイスクリームの売り上げが増加した。 (With the rise in temperature, ice cream sales have increased.)
人口の増加に伴い、都市部のインフラが整備された。 (As the population grows, urban infrastructure has been developed.)
季節の変化に伴い、気温や天候が変わる。 (With the changing seasons, temperatures and weather conditions vary.)
景気の変化に伴う支出の増減を調査する。 (Investigate the fluctuations in spending associated with changes in economic conditions.)
類似文型とその違い
「Xに伴ってY」を含め、これらはすべて「何かが変化すると、それと一緒にほかのものも変化する」と言いたいときに使う文型です。XにもYにも変化を表す言葉が入ります。
例：台風が近づく（○とともに ○につれて ○に伴って ○に従って）風が強くなった。
これらはほぼ同じように使えますが、使い方に少し違いがあります。
まず、「XにつれてY」は、Yに意志や勧誘を表す文は使えません。また、Xに「増減」のような変化が二方向におよぶものは使えません。
例：子供の成長（○とともに ×につれて ○に伴って ○に従って）習い事の数を増やしていくつもりだ。
例：売り上げの増減（○とともに ×につれて ○に伴って ○に従って）ボーナス額が変化する。
次に、「Xに伴ってY」は、「Xに伴うY」という形で、Yに名詞を置いて使うことができます。
例：景気の変化（×とともに ×につれる ○に伴う ×に従う）支出の増減を調査する。
しかし、いずれにしろこれらの用法は非常に似ているため、JLPTではこれらの違いを問うような問題はありません。

- 「Xに伴い、Y」の形で、業務上のお知らせなどで使われることが多い
１．「Xに伴って/伴い」が正式な接続であるが、動詞の場合「Xのに伴って/伴い」の方が自然な場合もある
例文
メルマガ発行サイトのサービス終了に伴い、2016年10月より小説配信も含めたすべてのメルマガ配信を終了いたしました。 (Due to the termination of the newsletter distribution service site, we have discontinued all newsletter deliveries, including novel distributions, since October 2016.)
リニューアルに伴い、10月15日まで閉店となります。 (With the renewal, the store will be closed until October 15th.)
本日５月１８日(木)は「国際博物館の日」に伴い入館料が無料となっております。 (Today, May 18th (Thursday), admission is free due to “International Museum Day.”)
