「は」はあってもなくても良い

例文

酒をやめない限り、ずっと病気は治りませんよ。 (As long as you don’t quit drinking, you won’t recover from the illness.)

思いきって事に当たらない限り、決して名声も成功も得られない。 (Unless you tackle things boldly, you’ll never achieve fame or success.)

君が君でいる限り、僕は僕でいられる。 (As long as you remain yourself, I can remain myself.)

つねによい目的を見失わずに努力を続ける限り、最後には必ず救われる。 (As long as you continue to strive without losing sight of good goals, you will eventually be saved.)

自由な表現を支持するが、その表現が暴力を助長する限り、規制することが必要だ。 (While supporting freedom of expression, it’s necessary to regulate it as long as it encourages violence.)

彼の提案は妥当性があるが、実行可能性に疑問が残る限り、採用を見送ることが適切だろう。 (While his proposal has validity, it would be appropriate to defer adoption as long as there are doubts about feasibility.)

私たちは彼女のリーダーシップを支持するが、私たちの安全が脅かされる限りは彼女の方針に反対しなければならない。 (We support her leadership, but we must oppose her policies as long as our safety is compromised.)

地球環境への悪影響が続く限りは、私たちの努力が足りないと言わざるを得ない。 (As long as the adverse effects on the Earth’s environment persist, we must acknowledge that our efforts are insufficient.)

他の人々に害を及ぼす限りは彼を擁護することはできない。 (We cannot defend him as long as he causes harm to others.)
